Long Lost Dream
Long Lost Dream
I used to call you Dream,
cause with your name it rhymes.
Little did I realise
Dreams can't be compromised
Burning passion that once hung on the wall,
Like an autumn, to the ground they fall.
Too late to mend,
I know, we've come to an end.
The affection you gave,
Sounded promising to have,
Now here I am,
Delusional at 2.am.
Because weak-hearted soul like mine
Is just attractive online
Quiet people own the loudest minds,
Tell the wound? Never mind
No more worth the climb
To be called your prime.
Our promises are long gone
Buried, what a forlorn.
Rejection doesn't really mean bad,
For heart sake, it's to redirect.
O God, I submit my prayer
Make ease this surrender.
Wherever you are, please be safe,
